AGGRESSION HISTORY: NO but resource guards when feeling insecure
PERSONALITY: Luna is the best girl ever ! her journey is complete - while she’s here anyway (because our hiatus in rehoming is a pause not a final decision) The dog that arrived - we knew she’d never be like every other Goldie - all we wanted for her was that her issues become predictable and manageable. She’s not only succeeded, she’s smashed it
- She doesn’t guard random items any more. She will guard high value treats from the other dogs - totally normal dog behaviour. I actually can’t remember the last time she had a proper incident
- She’ll compete for attention. If anyone leaves that space on the sofa for half a second she’s in there like a Jack Russell down a rabbit hole
- She can sleep on the bed if she wants - she chooses not to, but it’s her choice whether she does or not
- I have to watch the interaction between her and one other dog, because they clash occasionally. That’s actually down to my dog who is a challenging breed and falls out with everyone. She’s a work in progress, and Luna is FAR easier
- she accepts and enjoys proper hugs now - with face on face lovin”
Luna is non reactive, she loves people, barks at the cats, desperate to be the one to answer the door. She doesn’t steal anything other than my socks (god i need to buy some more socks !!). She doesn’t mind going to the vet, she loves a good snuggle on the sofa, she eats anything you stick in front of her. She’s probably the second easiest dog here now -
She’s just a normal easy dog now - well by my / rescue standards anyway. All her work - she’s done this by herself - just without out any pressure of expectation on her. I can’t quite express the feeling - it’s a strange emotion. Happy for her that she’s happy, sad that she never had the chance in her previous home to show what a complete darling she is, deeply sad for her that the homes we tried to secure for her just weren’t able to push through to this point of seeing this beautiful wonderful girl
BEHAVIOURS: Known to randomly resource guard random items when she’s feeling insecure or unhappy
FOOD: Anything and everything
